Introducing EMIoT

EMIoT is an emergency lighting network and testing system leveraging IoT technology to create a cost-effective, wireless cloud solution. Each exit sign or emergency light acts as a node in the EMIoT network, passing information dynamically back and forth across the building. This allows live remote testing and monitoring of all EMIoT fittings installed.

How It Works

The EMIoT network and testing system uses a low-power network technology, providing reliable wireless communications and testing functionality throughout a building. Our mesh technology covers 99% of the building with no cabling or additional hardware required – minimising costs when compared with other smart building networks or emergency lighting systems.

Selected exit signs are equipped with SIM cards, acting as gateways to enable cellular communication with cloud-based servers. This allows for seamless and reliable connections from the web interface to the emergency lights and other networked devices.

Each emergency light dynamically communicates with the gateways by transmitting signals through surrounding lights, ensuring stable connectivity in hard-to-reach areas.

Dashboard

The Dashboard tab keeps you up to date with recent status changes in your managed buildings. Here, you can also view the current compliance rates of both buildings and devices.

Building Management

The Building Management tab allows you to view and manage all your buildings in one place. Search for individual properties, view past certificates and reports for each building, and manage testing preferences to suit your needs.

You will also find a list of all devices installed in the building, their last reported status and date of most recent test. Filter devices by location, status or building level to easily find what youʼre looking for.

Support

The Support tab gives you access to tutorials and expert guidance, so that you can make the most of your EMIoT experience.

Smart Building Network

The EMIoT emergency lighting network not only acts as a testing system but also establishes a cost-effective, maintained, full-coverage smart building network. This is achieved by allowing approved smart devices to connect to the internet through the EMIoT emergency lighting network.
